On the 22nd and 23rd of March 2017, the Brabant Kempen region of the Netherlands will host the 2017 Rural Summit, produced in collaboration with the Intelligent Community Forum. The Summit explores the challenges facing rural regions including economic growth, sustainability, ageing and depopulation – as well as remarkable new opportunities for progress in a connected digital society.
Broadband makes rural regions more attractive places to live, work and create companies, while also integrating them into the larger rural-plus-urban areas of which they are a part. The connected digital society leads to rural revival: connected, vital and economically strong rural regions re-connected to urban centres.
Summit attendees will meet in Eindhoven and sessions of the Summit will take place in that city as well as locations across the Brabant Kempen region.
