In what is now a legendary tale, a Canadian Loonie ($1 coin) was embedded at centre ice prior to the 2002 Winter Games in Salt Lake City to bring luck to Canada's men's and women's hockey teams. Both teams brought home gold.
Since then, the Royal Canadian Mint has released a Lucky Loonie for every Olympic and Paralympic Games. In 2016, every Canadian athlete that competed in Rio received one of their own. The 2016 Lucky Loonie $1 coin is a symbol that unites Canadians from coast to coast to coast.
Your membership and support are vital for the continuation of the NCCC. As a non-for-profit organisation, members provide us with the resources necessary for the events, networking and other important work that we do on behalf of all the members.
In 2017, we celebrate 25 years of being registered with the ‘Kamer van Koophandel’.
To ensure a vibrant and active Chamber for the next 25 years, we are 'going for gold' with the Lucky Loonie. We are asking all of our members to search their networks to find new members. For every new member that you introduce, you will receive a Lucky Loonie commemorative coin.
